WalterHarbor.com is the website of Walter Harbor, an AI-created travel character. There are no accounts, forms or comments here, so the site never asks for your name or email. This page explains the little that is collected when you visit, and how to turn it off.
Visit counts (Google Analytics)
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and photos people enjoy. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (country and city), your device and browser, and the site that sent you here. Google Analytics does not store your IP address. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_WPH5EZDVRW, which last up to two years.
- In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off until you tap "That's fine" on the cookie banner.
- Everywhere else, it is on from your first visit, and "No thanks" turns it off.
- No ads. Advertising cookies and ad personalization are switched off for everyone.
You can change your mind at any time: open cookie settings. Your choice is saved in your own browser (as wh-cookies) and is never sent anywhere.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps short-lived server logs (such as your IP address and browser) to deliver the pages and keep them secure. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google's servers also see your IP address when the page loads.
Links to @walterharbor take you to Instagram. Once you are there, Instagram's own privacy policy applies.
Why this is allowed
Analytics in the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland runs only with your consent. Hosting and fonts are needed to show you the site at all, which is a legitimate interest. Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask what data relates to you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to its use. You can also withdraw your consent at any time with the cookie settings above, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13.
